Bobby & Julie Schroeder
Both of our fathers passed away from cancer, and in the years that followed, our mothers each faced transitions that required them to move from their homes. Bobby’s mother had time to thoughtfully choose an assisted living community, where she lived comfortably until she later passed away after battling dementia. Julie’s mother, who lived with us for eighteen years and also experienced dementia, required immediate placement in a care community after a fall so she could receive the support she needed.
Having navigated these deeply personal experiences ourselves—and having helped many older adults downsize and transition into senior communities—we understand both the emotional and practical challenges families face during these times. Our goal is to use that experience to guide and support others through similar transitions with care, compassion, and clarity.
